• Urgent: Issued in 3 hours, 24/7 — $60
• Duration: Valid for 90 days, allows a single stay of up to 30 days

The 15-Day Registration Rule

The most overlooked rule for tourists. If staying in Azerbaijan for more than 15 days, you must register with the State Migration Service.

• Hotels: Register you automatically at check-in
• Airbnb/private rentals: The host must register you via migration.gov.az
• Cost: Free
• Penalty: 300–400 AZN fine + potential deportation and entry ban

Special Restrictions

• Nagorno-Karabakh: Anyone who visited the Karabakh region before 2020 without Azerbaijani permission is permanently blacklisted and denied entry
• Armenian heritage: Travelers of Armenian descent or with Armenian surnames may face additional screening or denial of entry at border control
